One Therapy Network is dedicated to helping therapy practices build sustainable models for serving the underserved. One of our members in Oklahoma is looking to add a Director of Occupational Therapy to lead their OT department and join the leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing the department- The Director of OT will ensure that the quality of the therapy provided is evidence-based, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and stay abreast of the latest developments in pediatric occupational therapy. They will direct the professional development of the OT team and consult with Clinical directors on equipment investments, OT policies, and supervision guidelines.
- Growing the department- To build a great department, we must continue to attract amazing therapists. The Director of OT will network with schools, other OT professionals, and recruiters to find the absolute best therapists to join our team. They will facilitate a robust fieldwork program to develop the next generation of therapists in our state.
- Partnering with pediatricians- Our pediatricians are not just referral sources, they are our partners in serving our families. The Director of OT will come alongside local providers to educate, nurture existing relationships, and provide resources.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this role will have a passion for occupational therapy and serving families. They will have substantial experience in pediatric therapy including supervision of OTAs, student mentorship, and establishing department best practices. The ideal candidate will be comfortable presenting professionally in front of their peers, and working on projects independently or in collaboration with fellow leaders.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy
- Leadership experience
- Knowledge of state and insurance regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with social media and its role in building community relationships
- Commitment to evidence-based research and continuous learning
